SED Rule Proposal
The
New York State Education Department's has proposed a rule amendment
to the Board of Regents that would allow individuals to continue
to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination after 120 hours of education
after Aug. 1, 2009. If the Regents do not adopt the rule amendment,
CPA candidates who sit for the CPA exam after Aug. 1, 2009 will
have to have earned 150 hours of pre-certification education.
The proposal would also update and expand the curricular content
for pre-certification education.
