NYSSCPA Blog Terms and Conditions

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (“NYSSCPA”) sponsors this web log (“Blog”), use of which is conditioned upon the terms and conditions set forth below.
The Blog is an open forum for NYSSCPA members and those interested in the NYSSCPA and the CPA Profession to post comments on issues relevant to the NYSSCPA and the CPA profession. Remember that when your comment is posted, it will be accessible to all who view the Blog.

The NYSSCPA grants Blog participants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access and use the Blog in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below. NYSSCPA, in its sole discretion, may revoke this license at any time, if the participant does not abide by these terms and conditions.
 
Blog Rules
 
Blog participants will observe the following rules when communicating on the Blog. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourselves with them.
  • All comments should be relevant to the post and remain respectful of other authors and commenters.
  • Unlawful, defamatory, profane, offensive, or threatening content and messages (including disclosures) are strictly prohibited.
  • Be courteous when replying to the Blog. Do not personally attack other participants.
  • You must not impersonate another person in your postings.
  • You are responsible for any content that you post to the Blog. Do not post any material copyrighted by others unless you have their written permission to copy.
  • If you wouldn't want your message read to the public, do not post it to the Blog, since the Blog is accessible by the public and Blog postings may be forwarded to unintended third parties.
  • Do not post commercial messages on the Blog.
  • Remember that certain comments could make you subject to defamation (that is, libel and slander) and antitrust laws.
NYSSCPA Rights Concerning Blog Postings 
  • NYSSCPA may delete postings that have advertising or that NYSSCPA determines in its sole discretion to be commercial, offensive, violative of the Blog Rules, or in any other way inappropriate.
  • NYSSCPA retains the right to reproduce postings to the Blog. This means that, in exchange for the NYSSCPA granting you the opportunity to post to the Blog, you are granting the NYSSCPA a nonexclusive, transferable license regarding any copyright you hold in the material you post.
